Ep. 4: Read 'Em, Honey
We're excited to welcome our guest Glory Edim to the show. Glory is the founder of Well-Read Black Girl (WRBG), a Brooklyn-based book club and online platform that celebrates the uniqueness of Black literature & sisterhood. Glory's book club has met with several award-winning authors including Margo Jefferson, Naomi Jackson, Angela Flournoy, and Yaa Gyasi (plus, someone you might know... it's Nicole, silly!). Check out WRBG right now for an exclusive look at the cover of Nicole's latest book, HAVE YOU MET NORA?. We also talk about the hilarious viral video starring Toddler + Baby Bro who crashed their dad's very important live BBC interview. It's been viewed over 100 million times. The video also sparked lots of debate, especially about whether the Asia woman who came to drag the kids out of the home office was the children's mother or their nanny. (Spoiler: She's the mom.) This led to an old essay Nicole wrote about being mistaken for the nanny to surprisingly come back into the light. Life comes at ya fast!
And here's Glory's fave rave GIF, a classic from Mama O.
